About Project

The intention of the client couple is to create a home that provides the experience of virtually living within the outdoors. Access of light, air and landscape views were of paramount importance to the design brief. Large volumes with full height windows are intended to bring in the outdoors.... creating an INSIDE-OUT home. The L-shaped configuration of the building’s footprint was intended to allow the outdoor landscape to ‘hug’ the building. The situation of a lap pool on the western section of the site aids to enhance cool breeze towards the main house. It is ultimately the intention of the couple to build a house that would be warm and vibrant, filled with the individual personalities and representative of the family’s dynamic. Green design features include: Rain-water harvesting, solar roof panels, and large building overhangs.
